The E-Class is the mid-sized luxury sedan from Mercedes-Benz, offering a range of models from the fuel-efficient E 350 to high-performance AMG® E 53 HYBRID. Rear-wheel drive is standard, but most come with 4MATIC® all-wheel drive. Two body styles are also available: Sedan or All Terrain (Wagon). What's the difference between the E 350 and E 350 4MATIC®?

The E 350 is the standard E-Class model offering rear-wheel drive, while the E 350 4MATIC® comes with all-wheel drive. The E 350 4MATIC® offers more traction and stability in the rainy PNW conditions, so it's typically what we have in-stock.

What's the difference between the E 350 and E 450?

The E 350 has a more fuel-efficient turbocharged 4-cylinder engine, while the E 450 has a larger and more powerful turbocharged 6-cylinder engine. Most drivers will be fine with the balance of efficiency and performance from the E 350, but many find the additional power from E 450 to give it a more luxurious feel behind the wheel.

What does All Terrain mean on the E-Class?

The E 450 All Terrain is the wagon model in the E-Class lineup. If you are looking for more storage space for your gear and something more suited for dirt and gravel roads, but still prefer the driving experience of a sedan, check out the E 450 All Terrain.

Is there an E-Class plug-in hybrid?

Yes, the performance-focused AMG® E 53 HYBRID is the plug-in hybrid. Although a 577 horsepower performance sedan is not what you typically think of as a plug-in hybrid, it does still offer the benefits of a PHEV such as an electric-only driving mode.
